The Callaway FT-5 Driver is the latest evolution in club head design, utilizing our revolutionary Fusion Technology. A massive 50 grams of discretionary weight has been created using a Carbon Fiber Body - creating the OptiFit Weighting System that produces the perfect center of gravity position for any particular player. The larger, hotter CT/VFT Titanium cup face is designed to the legal limit, resulting in increased ball speed, distance and forgiveness - even on miss-hits. The Callaway FT-5’s carbon composite body is lighter than titanium and its construction improves stability and distance. A 460cc head volume is incorporated with a longer, wider and hotter face for more confidence at address, a higher MOI and increased ball speed for longer, straighter drives. Proprietary Fusion technology creates an unprecedented 50 grams of discretionary weight which is strategically positioned for a high Moment of Inertia and precise lateral location of the center of gravity. This provides exceptional stability on off-center hits, while enabling ball flight customization for optimal individual performance. It has a very high moment of inertia (MOI). Many customers agree that they get increased ball speed, more distance and straighter drives. The clubface is made of titanium. The Fusion Technology includes a Carbon Composite body material that is used to make the body lighter than titanium.

The compliment to the FT-i has been overshadowed by it’s square cousin but customers and readers are starting to realize that it’s the better of the two clubs. Callaway has taken their popular Fusion FT-3 and made it even better.

I demoed a FT-5 a couple weeks ago and immediately went out to buy one. I hit the ball dead straight every time. The first time I played it I hit more fairways than I ever had and hit the ball with a 9.5* as far, but more consistently, as with my current 7*.
