The foam-filled 3- through 5-irons are designed to launch high, enhance distance and improve feel and sound."

OUR TESTERS SAY:
PROS: Among the longer, more forgiving models; short irons, in particular, go up to one club longer on solid hits; shots get airborne very easily and fly on a high trajectory; compact head with a slightly thicker topline is appealing in address position.

CONS: Lacks crisp feel on finesse shots; some testers find other models easier to maneuver; not necessarily a seamless transition feel-wise throughout the set.

R9 TP irons combine traditional player's characteristics with high-tech performance. The result is a classiclooking set with long irons (2-5) that feature thin, flexible clubfaces (due to the hollow-headed design) for higher COR and more distance. Clubfaces become progressively thicker in the mid- and short irons to promote greater control and feel where needed. KBS Tour Series steel shafts come standard.
