The TaylorMade Burner SuperFast Driver offers exceptional distance with extremely light weight. This new driver weighs only 284 grams and is extra-long at 46.5 inches long and when combined together they become the perfect recipe for increased speed and distance. The new aerodynamic head shape is large and slips faster through the air to promote added speed and power while Dual Crown Techonology promotes higher flight.

The TaylorMade Burner Super Fast Driver offers exceptional distance with extremely light weight. The SuperFast’s aggressive head shape features drag-reducing geometry on the sole with a tapered back end for faster overall swing speeds which translates to more distance off the tee. Ultra-thin Wall technology on the inside reduces the wall thickness in the clubhead to allow for a larger face up front. This let them create the biggest face on any TaylorMade Driver which gives you a larger hitting area with a larger sweet spot for more forgiveness. TaylorMade’s popular Inverted Cone Technology behind the face increases the club’s COR, or coefficient of restitution. This means the ball’s tendency to spring off the clubhead is increased to raise ball speeds even further for even more distance. The TaylorMade Burner SuperFast Driver is built to provide easy-to-hit distance for players of all skill levels.

The 460cc head of the Burner SuperFast is sleeker and more aerodynamic than the previous Burner driver, allowing it to slip through the air more efficiently and help you swing the club faster. At the same time, the face of the SuperFast is the largest TaylorMade has ever produced, which should help maintain ball speed across a larger hitting area and increase forgiveness.

The Burner SuperFast comes standard with a 46.5-inch Matrix Ozik XCon 4.8 shaft, which is both extremely light and soft in the tip. That combination should help launch drives on a higher trajectory with more spin, which should improve carry distance for slower-swinging players. (Fast-swinging players benefit from a driver that launches the ball high with less spin.)

  I bought this driver (9.5 Stiff) and headed to the range. It took me about 200 swings to figure it out (between the time and the driver), but once I did I was able to hit 325 on the range with better accuracy than I used to have at 250.

  This is the best taylormade driver I have hit, I have gained at least ten to twenty yards and off center hits go farther too hard not to hit it strait and in the short grass. I was using a 2009 Burner that too was a great driver but this time taylormade has out done itself with the superfast.

  I was looking forward to hitting the new Burner Superfast driver as I have always been a fan of TaylorMade woods and have owned both the R5 and R7 in the past. Although it took some getting used to the new aerodynamic shape of the Burner Superfast and red line on the crown look good at address and the driver feels as light as TaylorMade say it will. The shaft is longer than standard in a bid for extra length for all levels of player and this was certainly noticeable and took some getting used to. Unfortunately I cannot really say this translated into performance for me as I did not find any discernable improvement in length and although it felt solid across the clubface the longer shaft also resulted in a lack of accuracy. The Burner Superfast is a nice driver but in the very competitive market place I think there are better clubs out there.
